As you probably know, the traditional ketchup has sweeteners and preservatives in it, so it takes a bit of getting used to when you make your own sugar-free version. But it’s much cleaner and better for you.

Ingredients
- 1 15-oz tomato sauce
- 1 6-oz tomato paste
- 1tbs cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed through a garlic press
- 1/4 tsp allspice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- 1. In a small saucepan, mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, onion powder, garlic, and all-spice with a whisk to combine thoroughly.
- 2. Heat over medium high, whisking gently every once in a while as it heats. Cook for about 10 minutes. Add salt, pepper, and cayenne.
- 3. Allow to cool and store in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 7 to 10 days.
- Variation: For som extra zing, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
