Throughout the day, we sometimes need to stop and take a break from everything to connect with ourselves and focus on our self-care. Pausing and choosing what to do in order to vent off our stress is not simple. Here are some things you can do in just a couple of minutes in order to reboot and take a break before going back to work.
As soon as we free up a couple of minutes, we immediately head to our phones and start checking our social media feed, our mail and our sources of information. And what was meant to be a break suddenly turns into what will probably be wasted time. Try taking a true break and show some love to yourself by setting aside your phone for 15 minutes.
Get your energy back by enjoying some healthy and nourishing snacks. My choices usually include dark chocolate, almonds or an apple with peanut butter. Filled with the energy to keep me going through the day!
Did you just set your phone aside? Well, for this tip you are going to need it back. Fill up your time by connecting with a friend. Let them know they are in your thoughts, and that you are there for them.
Even if you are at work, take some time and give yourself a relaxing hand massage. Start from the base of your palm and work your way to the tip of your fingers by caressing them gently. You can do this with or without massage oil depending if you can clean up afterwards.
Pick up some paper and write down a letter where you express love to yourself. Fill in the words by speaking from your heart, saying what you need to hear the most.
